How to lighten the trigger of a Glock 17

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge in how to lighten the trigger of a Glock 17 without part changing??
I've put about 4K thru it and still the trigger is stiff. I was told it would get better as it wears, but no go yet.
Help.....cause it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!

If 5lbs is too heavy for you I suggest you hit the gym

You could try a 3 1/2lb connector.

Another option would be go to the Glock Talk forum & do a search for the twenty five cent trigger job.

What do you mean by "stiff", mine has NY2 springs making it 8lbs trigger pull, but it ain't stiff just heavy, breaks clean and smooth.

I guess I'm spoiled with the Kimber .45, but I just can't seem to get used to the heavy trigger pull. I've shot a model 21 in .45 and the trigger is a lot lighter and smoother than mine.....maybe I got a dud....
