How to Registering a reclassified restricted.

Anyone ever register a restrcted gun that has never been registered as restricted before. I found a rifle that is now deemed restricted and the owner didn’t know about reclassification. Any help would be appreciated.

To my knowledge there has been no reclassifications of NR to R since the AR was OIC'ed restricted and barrel length laws introduced? Am I missing something here?

Lots of non-restricted firearms were made restricted and restricted fireams (As well as non-restricted) were reclassified to prohibited, in the "Great purge", can you describe what the rifle is?

I think that all you have to do is register it as long as it's not a prohib.

It’s an 22 cal ar variant. For some reason the guy that had it was unaware of the reclassification. Just want to be sure that there is not going to be any problems because the reclassification was so long ago.

It's really not an issue... "they" want them all on the "list"...
