How to remove a STD Extended Leupold scope ring.

Hi all, I have Leupold std scope rings with an extended std ring on the front. The rear ring is held in by windage screws, and is easily removed, but the front is held in by the Leupold twist - in system. I don't have the Leupold wrench, how do I remove the extended ring ? The ring sits on an off-set integral mount. Twisting it looks like it would warp !

OK, got it off, used a lapping bar !

Now that you have them off, do yourself a favor
And leave them off. The STD (Redfield) system is bad enough, but the extended front ring is full retard.
