I have a VARI-X III that I'd like to adjust the parallax down a little for rimfire use, but I can't for the life of me get the outer ring to loosen. Am I missing something here? On all of my more modern scopes it's been relatively easy to unscrew the ring.
If it is just stubbornly tight, do you have any suggestions on a tool to use? I'd rather not scratch up the finish.
