You are right, I just used my creme brule torch and heated the grip slighty, then worked on it with a wooden chop stick, finally rubbed ii off with 70% alcool.
All gone and beautiful now.

Glad that worked for you. Another approach that works is using lighter fluid. It's not harsh, won't damage finish, but is excellent for removing adhesive, sticker, what have you. Just soak it a few times, and carefully work off the tape or whatever.
