Hi guys and merry Christmas!

I cannot figure out how to remove the extractor from the bolt of my DTA srs A1. Any idea? It is not explained in the user manual and I don't find any video on youtube.

Thanks

FWIIW, I would not strip the bolt to that extent unless something is broken. I'm not totally sure, but it looks like the roll pin in the bolt head keeps the extractor and ejector in place so removing the pin would be the thing to do. Just remember that the ejector is under spring pressure and things will go flying when you remove the roll pin, be forewarned. Disassemble at your peril!!

Thanks for the answer. Last time I used my DTA, I had some failure to extract because the extractor was stuck in the ´´upper'´ position and wasn't cachting the rim of the brass case. There is a build up of dirt/carbon around the extactor and it wasn't moving smoothly. I was easily able to strip the entire bolt except the extractor... I was able to clean around and on the visible part of the extractor and now it moves freely. It does look iike something that's gonna be difficult to put back together so I don't think that I'll remove it if it doesn't work. I hate not being able to strip my gun!

I took my ejector pin out, as the spring in mine SRR had broken, and it was just that simple, lightly tap the roll pin out, reassemble that roll pin in the same direction when reassembling and you're all set. Extractor is probably the same procedure?
I also phoned DTA about my spring and asked them to send me a couple springs under warranty, and although it took 2 months for those to show up here in Canada, they came free of charge, shipping included.

How long ago was that? I was talking to DTA warranty Dept a month ago and the guy said they couldn't even email me pictures due to the new rules out there. His only solution to my issue was for me to ship the rifle back to them. I refused to ship a firearm worth that much across the border and fixed the problem myself.
