The lead comes from the lead styphnate in the primers. Apparently, if Richard Lee is to be believed you get more exposure to lead tumbling out the media in one of the salad spinners than casting bullets.

I am probably doing things wrong. I just load all my brass into the Lyman turbo and go to bed. In the morning I find that the brass fairies came during the night and shined the heck out of my brass. :0

I believe it, when your casting your well below the vaporization point of lead so there should be no airborne lead at all.
