Is there a legal way to ship ammo? Can you ship Canada Post or Canpar? Do you have to tell shipper it's ammo? Is there a certain way it has to be packaged? Thanks.....Brian

And be discrete, Brown shipping paper is cheap if you are using a box marked Winchester or Federal or whatever

Here ya go - my most recent shipment from Kate at Ammosupply.

The ammo boxes are inside of another plain outer box + a little brown paper for packing to make sure nothing moves. Another retailer has shipped me single ammo boxes covered / concealed in black stretch wrap (I could get the same effect by double / triple bagging a box with black garbage bags and then taping the bejeebers out of it).

'Pretty sure dogzilla is right about notifying them about the contents - anytime I've had ammo delivered to me, the driver hasn't had a clue about the contents (other than it's frikken' heavy!).

Ditto here. SFRC Ammosource has delivered plenty of ammo to my house, never any trouble. They use UPS. Never had a problem. Driver just laughed about how heavy the package was. Always well packed.

I've shipped lots via Canpar. Usually just tell them it's machine parts but have told them it's ammo and they don't care, they just note it on the invoice. Same cost either way. Just make sure it's well packed, I usually double box it and even tie a cord around it if it weighs 50lbs or more.

When I have ordered in bulk (1000 9mm) the store just ships in the boxes that they received it in. Most of the time where I used to live they left it out front on the porch if I wasn’t home.
