I have a Leupold Vari X II 1-4 that I may have loosened or even removed the power selector ring screw years ago for more clearance on a special mount (M600 Rem)and now have learned I have let the nitrogen out of the scope. Is there a simple way of telling. Same scope, same mount, I definatly did this to a second one, but don't want to send both if not needed.

Thanx

If the nitrogen is out the scope will fog internally. You might put it in a warm humid situation then pop it in the fridge to see if it fogs up. If it does pack it up and send it for repair. They are too good of a scope to throw out.:D

That should do it

or just put it in a fridge first then take it outside (considering you are not in a North Pole )
