I have a set of Leupold rings and bases I am trying to sell but I am not sure what height the rings are.... it was pretty easy to determine thatthey are one inch.... but how do I tell if they are low medium or high?.... leupold site give a measurement but they don't tell you where to measure from.....

I've always gone by low rings will clear a 32mm scope, medium will clear 40mm, high will clear 50mm. By measurment I couldn't tell. If I was guessing, looks like medium rings, but I strickly stick with weaver style.

Those look to be 1/2 high rings, the center line of the scope with sit 1" above the top of the receiver.

Low, medium, and high are not standard units of measure. They're just easier to say than actual measurements.

Measure the rings from the lowest part of the inside of the ring to where it rests on top of the base.

They sure look like medium, should be good for 44mm, but the problem is often the eye piece part to clear the bolt... JP.
