I did a search online and couldn't find anything that explained how to use the tangent rear sight on my Kar98. Instead of being ignorant and trying to figure it out at the range, I thought I would post here.
Here is my guess to how to use it, feel free to correct me. With the sight not adjusted (i.e. flat and level with the Kar98) you would position yourself and the rifle properly so as to put the front sight right in the "V" slot of the rear sight. When you adjust for range (i.e. 500m lets say) and adjust the rear sight accordingly, the rear sight raises up. Do you now, with yourself properly positioned as before with the rifle, have to tilt (muzzle end up, butt stock end down) the rifle until you are able to see the front sight in the rear sight again just as if it were non-adjusted and level ?
Thank you for your help.
