How would one go about importing a rifle?

If anyone can provide any advice on how to order a New Ultra Light Arms rifle from the US it would be appreciated. I've been toying around with the idea of a custom rifle or premium prebuilt rifle for oh gosh, the past three years and I want to explore this option before I finally come to a decision

NULA will send the rifle to an exporter and the exporter will deal with the paperwork.
It takes a couple of months and the exporters usually charge 750.00 for the service.

I'm not positive, but I believe a dealer has to then take possession here in Canada to transfer the rifle to you...Not sure what that costs.
