Hurts to look back 37 years, when you could buy a barreled action for less than 400$. Had a Howa 338WM as my main rifle for quite a while pre2000, never an issue. Another one I wish I had kept.

$325 for a barreled action would be nice!

That $325 in 1988 is like $725 with inflation though, and you can get a Howa 1500 for $699. Im actually kinda surprised at how closely the price aligns almost 40 years later.

Interesting to see how accuracy standards have changed. Imagine seeing a modern rifle talk about 1.5" groups lol
