I was wandering if anyone has had a chance to use a Howa Axiom 22-250 from Legacy sports? I am looking to acquire one but the ATF has made it tough to export out of the States due to the rectractable stock. I would appreciate any feedback on accuracy and useability on the product before I spend anymore time trying to Acquire one.

If anyone has availability on the Howa Axiom 24" barrell in 22-250 in Desert Camo I would be interested in contacting them. Thanks!

I bought one at Frontier Firearms in .223 but the stock was not retractable, U.S. export law. It is very solid built but has a slow rifling twist.

I don't have the axiom but I DO have a M1500 in 204. The actioned barrel sits in a Boyds target/varmint and is rock solid. The bolt functions great and the trigger is the best factory trigger I have used, no creep and is light. I should put the scale on it. The barrel threads on these are metric not standard (imperial) from other posts I have read. The HOWA is the Weatherby Vangaurd for most intent and purpose. I love my Howa, best group so far is 5 at 100 yards (RANGE FINDER DISTANCE) that can be covered with a nickle, almost no wind. The dime left some of the ragged edge showing but not much. (also not me behind the trigger but a freind) This is with factory ammo off of a fold out bench, on the first time out with it. The scope is a burris in z rings. I can't see the axiom accuracy to be inferior to my M1500.

Cheers, Dino
