I’ve now been on CGN for a couple months now and figured it’s time to do an intro. I’m a born again shooter after taking many years off and found CGN only a couple months ago. I’ve recently completed my PAL and RPAL course, and completed the licensing process where I received my license at around the 5 week mark after using many suggestions from CGN to speed up the process.

One of the main reasons I decided in the last couple of years to get my PAL and RPAL was I genuinely live in fear of my government taking away the ability to own a gun and I have also always liked shooting.

I absolutely hate the Liberal Party of Canada and what they have done to my country over the last 40 years and in my mind the other parties don’t warrant much mention apart from my current support of the CPC (I did celebrate the election win by purchasing a Glock 17 Gen 4 but had to leave it at the gun store until my RPAL came through a couple weeks ago) to which many of my more liberal friends just roll their eyes.

I have pretty strong political views but tend to more of a libertarian when it comes down to it, but I have really enjoyed much of the info CGN has to offer especially the bulletins and the vast array of information it has to offer. I especially like the Firearms Politics Articles and News section.

I know the CPC won a majority but I honestly don’t have a lot of faith in them as well as to me all politicians are about the same (btw – Stephen Harper Lives not too far from me) but that remains to be seen.

In the last couple of month’s I’ve purchased a Ruger 10/22, Ruger GP100 (.357) and a Glock 17 Gen 4 to add to the Lee Enfield Mk4 my father gave me. I’ve been doing a lot of target shooting in the last couple of weeks with an eye towards trying some IDPA later this year and having an absolute blast.

Rough count of rounds fired in the last couple of weeks since I got my license is around 1500 of .22, 9mm, .38 special and .357 (I love the .357 as it makes such a big boom).

Cheers,

Johnny
