Hello All. Well it seems this is where the real shooters hang there hats so to speak. I have been shooting since the early 60's, that the 1960's. Started out like all the rest with a cooey .22 gunning for everything from squirls to jack rabbits. In my growed up life I use a Winchester model 70 .06 that I spent about 3 years working up a good load so I could help the local farmers around Horsefly get rid of the pesky gophers. Loads of fun out to 300 yds or so. It has proven itself for mountain goat, deer, moose and black bear. I tend to shoot with pretty hot loads so it does get it's revenge with the odd smacked lip if I take it for granted. I originally mounted a Bushnell 3X9-50mm with the BDC feature. Still shoots great. Working my way through a MarkV Accumark in 300 mag. Coming good but a bit more work to get it less than 3/4 at 200.

Currently residing in Victoria area. Not too many places left on the Island to take the irons for a walk in the bush. May have to go inland yet.

Forums are great with lots of helpful remarks. Enjoy

Hi papa, welcome to CGN! I'm in the kamloops area, but there are lots of Islanders here, so keep watching and posting. And here's my usual pitch to newcomers-
