Howdy from Texas

I'm not Canadian or from Canada, but I have friends there and my great-grandfather once got in trouble running booze across the St. Lawrence to the U.S. I probably have distant relatives up there.

I joined here because many of my Google searches often end up here, so I figured I'd finally join in.

I don't often hunt, but that may change soon as I'm about to start the process of building a home on the 15 acres my wife and I bought out by Abilene, Texas. There are plenty of small Texas whitetails, hogs, and some escaped exotics in our area. Mostly I'm a reloader and shooter of handguns and rifles in common and a few less common calibers like 6.5x55, 8x57 and 9.3x62.

Welcome! There are many families with cross-border history.

Think of Canada as 1/10th the population of the US, twice the land mass, and the GDP of the state of California.

Welcome. I have been going to Texas last few years to visit relatives and always get to do some hunting. Will be going again. Always enjoyable especially when shopping for gun stuff.
