I can't do any gun activity since I'm only about 16, in fact I probably won't even be posting much but I thought it would be polite to post a greeting. I've recently taken a big interest in guns and the and this seems like a very welcoming, informative community, and it'll be good to know all I can before starting, eh wot? I've got zero experience with firearms and whatnot since most of the people I've grown up with aren't fond of firearms because of misconceptions and uh... bad blood, one could say. I enjoy archery so I'm all about the precision and friendly competition aspect of shooting. I probably won't get much into hunting, I can't even bring myself to squish an icky spider, but I'll see in two to three years, when I (hopefully) get a PAL. Or longer as shooting appears to be a relatively expensive hobby.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to soaking up some knowledge and wisdom; teach me well, oh great ones!

Most of us started much younger than that. Lots of old geezers around who would be glad to show a youngster the ropes. And shooting need not be an expensive hobby. Lots of used .22's to be had uber cheap. Even a crappy paper route will afford ya one. Go find a gun geezer and a cheap plinker and have fun.

Is that so? Good to know. Maybe I'll look into the Mentor thread in summer when things are less hectic. Thanks!

And about that mentor thread, that was my idea, so contact me if you want.
I am also going to do a post about setting up a ?monthly? newbie shoot at different clubs around the lower mainland in the spring and summer.
