Anybody do any Bear hunting?

Passed up a big one because I was elk hunting at the time. He was fat and looked really nice.
I'm guessing in the 200kg range.
Feeding in a patch of oats, so should have been excellent table fare D.

I shot a nice male last week, my first. Maybe 160lbs to 180lbs.
Treed him with hounds, it was an awesome hunt.

Is baiting legal in the Yukon? It's not in BC...

seen 6 so far since Aug 15. (start of season). All of them were under 250-275lbs, so my hunt continues. LOTS of scraggily bears up here. Not a lot to eat, and an extra-long hibernation. Rare to find BIG FAT bears here. I estimate that I have only seen 3 Bruins that have been over 325lbs in over 100 sightings. That makes it juicier when I do see one. I will post a picture when I nail him!!
