I 've been trying to get the bolt out of my hp9 to clean it without success. Where I am getting hung up is in sliding the bolt out after I've removed the barrel. I've tried to depress the feed lips and slide it out with success any suggestion.

I puched in "870 disassembly" on You Tube and watched a video of a guy doing it. I couldn't belive how easy it is.

Depress the mag tube lips one side at a time while pulling the action out.

Well, it's not really a trick, but it does seem to take a bit of effort if you haven't done it before. Remove the barrel and turn the gun upside down. Looking at the loading gate, push your thumb on the right side bar/lip (you'll feel it move in), while pulling gently on the forend. Then, while still pulling gently on the forend, push the left side bar/lip(it too should move in). Sometimes you have to wiggle the forend around and push the other bar/lip in again - but, it will eventually allow the forend to slide out. Turn the gun right side up before you pull the bolt completely out, then remove it all the way from the action.

Actually it is easier if you leave the gun in the normal upright position, and one less step not having to flip it over. In the upright position it is the left side shell retainer that you will depress by reaching in through the bottom.
When it goes back together you have to slide the forend assembly back until you feel it stop then press the right shell retainer (ejection port side), slide the action forward about 1/8" and press the left shell retainer and then slide the assembly all the way back. Don't force anything it should go easily.
Cheers
