I recently got my HP-9 (my first Nork shotgun) and I have a question about her:
She wont lock-up on an empty chamber. Is this normal for these?

I can cycle hard, soft, doesn't matter. I drop in a dummy round and all's fine, but when I kick it out..... .
I've taken her apart for a thorough clean and lube, and re-assembled (a royal PITA both times ) Is there something I did wrong? It seemed straight forward.
FWIW, mine says "Homeland Security 780" on the receiver.

Thanks

If you've cocked the hammer, it will (should) lock up on an empty chamber. I find it hard to believe that it locks up with a shell in the chamber, but not empty. Almost impossible to believe.

If you have not cocked the hammer or recently released the hammer (pulled the trigger), it will not "lock up". As designed.

Not Marstar.

I've spoken to the company I purchased it from, and they've given me the name of the importer and gunsmith. Just waiting 'till Monday to call them.

To quote Jack Palance: Believe it, or not!

With the dummy rounds, it cycles as per normal. Although, to load, I need to rack back the slide, drop in the DR and close, then push in the other round the normal way. Even the guy at the shop was baffled by this.

I was hoping someone had a quick answer. Monday is a looong way away :(.

Homeland Security 780

I too recently purchased one of these. Presently, I am in the process of returning the trigger group to the importer's gunsmith for exchange. Once I rack the gun It takes anywhere from 4 to 15 pulls on the trigger before it releases. Anybody know any background on these models?
