HS precision question

I have an HSP stock with the HSP mag adapter. My buddy wants the stock but for a different caliber. I was wondering if his floor plate will install ok without the mag adapter? Thanks.

That depends on what the cartridge is. We need more info

Its set up for 308, buddy is running 223.

My question is not about the HSP mag. My question is, will his floor plate fit after the mag kit has been removed from the stock and he installs his action into the stock. Both the current and his action are Rem 700 SA.

I am not that lazy. We have conflicting schedule's and he's gone most of the time. Trying to figure out if it works so I know whether to hold onto it for him or put it up on the EE. I got my answer via pm. Thanks guys.
