A while back some of you may remember a post of mine asking for some help/suggestions about my search for the 3 QD sling swivel studs belonging to my HS Precision M700 Police stock. I needed 3 of them but they are an odd size of # 10 x 24 x 7/8" long. I drove to Epps in Orillia only to find the Uncle Mike's Machine screw # 115 in 10 x 32 x 7/8" long for a couple of bucks each. I bought some of them and tried to screw them into a 10 x 24 thread hoping that the rifle gods would smile on me.

No such luck so I asked around and another CGNutter told me to try this shop/supplier in the USA: http://w w w.grovtec.com/ (hotlink modified IAW CGNutz policy on hotlinking)

Well, a week ago I asked them and a kind lady sent me 3 of them. Absolutely free at their expense. Now I'm repaying the favour and sharing with you the great news of their assistance and product line. :D

More good news. Casey at Tac-Ord (CGNutz board sponsor/dealer) hooked me up also. Props to Casey! :D

This kind of experience only proves that we have a super helpful community online and that's why we love it here! :dancingbanana:

Stay hydrated, my friends! ;)

I recently bought a couple of 3.5lbs connectors from Casey. Will definitely deal with him again.

Just out of curiosity, what material (of the stock) do the studs screw into? If it was aluminum, another general option is to drill the thread out and put a helicoil insert (stainless steel) in of your desired thread. Kits are available on ebay for ~$30. Of course it's definitely better to just find the right bolt!
