Yes.. yes. I know this is asked all the time but I tried searching and it kept kicking me out when I tried to put in HS. It said it was too short so bear with me.

I, like many of you, have been bitten by the Savage bug. I love my 12fv in .243 and would like to give it a new stock.

We've all chatted about the McMillans and the Bell and Carlsons and the Richardson Composites but is anyone using an HS Precision stock?

I love the one on my friends Remington R5 and the Kevlar model being used on the new CZ550 Kevlar. But where in the hel... I mean Canada can I get one for a Savage?

For now, the easiest and quickest way is to buy a Savage HS stocked 308 and swap barrels.

Sell the 12FV now as a 308 and live happily ever after. Best part is you also get a great mag system for 'free'.

Contact Ian Robertson here on the forums. There are many models we have that will function just fine with the savage action. I'll try to upload pictures of my robertson h&h with a savage 12bvss.

Becareful with B&C Medalist as the action screws are not the proper spacing for the 2006+ short action series ('center feed'). I had to enlarge the front screw on mine along with work on the trigger guard, and magazine which becomes unuseable without side support.

Spacing is 4.25" (108mm) (b&c stock) vs my action spacing 4.4" (114mm)
