We begged, we cajooled, then we shook our fist angrily mumbling Czech adjectives. And so it happened. We finally got the paper pusher to actually go into the warehouse and drag out the last remaining bins of 858 surplus parts ! So, 2 large and very heavy boxes showed up for us yesterday. About 75% of all the parts you would need to assemble an 858 are here in our shop. Some in large numbers, some just the last few they had. Bolts, locks, bolt carriers, springs of all shape and size, pins ,stock hardware bolts and screws, real wood grips, trigger guards, front sight posts.. way too much to list.

We are just putting a list together and then we will be making some kits. (The magazines are coming later so please don't ask right now.)

Once we have everything sorted and the kits made we will post them here and on our website.

Well we couldn't get the 1:100 parts kits because they are gone. I could show you the emails I have spent MONTHS sending just to get these parts. It was getting so painful that when they finally agreed to go and physically look in the warehouse I just said "send it all". I'm done chasing people trying to give them money. This is it for us, we ordered enough to supply a good deal of people for at least 6 months (?) Some of the parts are very hard to come by, even in the US where we sell this stuff by the truck load. The 858 is getting so popular in the US that a company we deal with that is a CNC shop will be making the receivers new. (No, we won't be bringing them in because of our beloved RCMP and their 'laws' stating we would have to submit a sample and then wait 5 years for it to be 'maybe' approved.)

Pics of what we got in :

In my experience, VZ58 furniture and hardware is universal from CSA/FSN/CZ. Some fitting is needed with NOS wood.

Yes indeed. We got real wood pistol grips and the screws to go with them. No wood fore end parts except some beaverwood lower fronts that were ordered by mistake.

We need to assemble a test kit and see which parts are in it before we can quote a price, sorry. They don't have mags though keep in mind so I don't think they will be too expensive.

Are the following parts available? I need them to complete a receiver dust cover style scope mount:

1. Return Spring
2. Return Spring Guide
3. Return Spring Cap
4. Return Spring Rod
5. Operating Spring Rod
6. Operating Spring

Would love a set of real wood stock, grip, etc. Though at a reasonable price for it please. I would love a wood stock to play with, but paying more for a few surplus pieces of non exotic/ cheaply finished wood than a full wood stocked surplus SKS/svt40 isnt going to happen.

Sorry mate, it's a supply vs. demand problem. Because this is surplus there is a finite amount. Most of the spares have been bought up and there is very, very little left. The wood is actually great quality, the commies didn't mind chopping old growth forest to make stocks. There is a guy in the US that makes the sets brand new out of the same European Birch wood. He charges something like $275 USD for a set with no hardware. Or you can get a nice walnut set from the EU for 300 Euro. ($435 + shipping)

Me personally, I prefer vintage. Makes it authentic, not a fan of the poser thing, but hey that's just my preference.

As far as we can tell, unless we stumble across a hidden supply somewhere, this is it for the real wood sets.
