Hey guys, where's the best place to find 12 gauge hulls for reloading? We don't live particularly close to a range/club and I've looked at the usual online shops to no avail. Anyone recommend the best place to find new or once fired hulls?

12 ga are easy. Run a listing on the EE and you can pick up AA and STS once fired for 5-7 cents each plus shipping.
Buy a batch large enough to make the shipping worth while. I normally can land 1000 from just about anywhere in canada for 100 bucks total to my door
There are some listed there now if you do a search
Cheers

Call your nearest range and talk to the trap and skeet guys, they would most likely save you a couple big bags of hulls for next to nothing or a small donation to the range Christmas fund or suchlike

You'll have to find a range where a bunch of rich guys shoot. At our club, everyone either uses Federal blue box ammo, steel rims, or if they use brass rimmed hulls, they pick them up and reload them.

On that note, depending on your press, you can use the hulls with the steel heads. A press with a force over die like a mec 600jr does not do too well with the steel hulls, but a sizemaster with the collet sizer works great. I use the same loads and components as I do for AA hulls for shooting on the sporting clays courses when I might not find the hulls.
