Hungarian Mosin Nagant M44 Bolt issue?

Had the rifle a number of years, never fired it, now I want to. (see my other thread "Not an Enfield")

But I have a question. After cycling the bolt and closing it, there doesn't seem to be any "real" tension keeping it closed. One finger will open it again. I think I could turn it upside down and hit the Magazine and it would be enough of a jolt to open the bolt.

Is this normal?

This is being done without any ammo or brass in the chamber (I don't have any for it yet).

Because the gun is cocked already, so lifting the bolt up won't give any resistance.

Exactly. Try it with a cocked Enfield and you could break your nose

Thanks. I guess I'm just used to Enfields and whatnot that have a lot more resitance to them.
