After seeing pics of the Hungarian honour guards carrying "different" looking sks rifles,,ie a different tone of amber-red colour, and wondering if these could possibly be a rare variant, I emailed their government a few months ago. I asked if they made their own sks and for close up pics of their receivers. Was a bit surprised when a big piece of mail arrived yesterday from their Dept of Defence. They went out of their way to take lots of photos and explain. Unfortunately they concentrated on the Steyr rifle but regardless, confirmed that their honour guards carry Hungarian modified Russian sks rifles.
