Picked another one up at the Calgary gun show last week in near new condition.Chronied it at 577 fps with 8gr pellets. Will likely tear it down and lube the spring/springs and soak the leather piston seal in Neats foot oil for a week or so.Should get me back up to 600fps or so.Have my original one I had as a kid restored but this one is in far better shape.A lot of fun and learned to shoot with it.May just hand it down to my grand children when they are old enough.Brings back a lot of memories on the farm.

Those Telly rifles ae a great little gun.
I just bought a Telly Junior that looks as good as the day it left the factory. I find it very hard to resist such a clean specimen of a 40 year old airgun.

I likewise plan to tear it down, and freshen the innards up.
What you may want to try on the leather piston seal and breech seal is some pure silicone oil. I have found that it works a lot better than neatsfoot oil. Just check your local hobby shop for some pure silicone shock oil for the radio control cars - anything in the 25 to 40 weight range is good.

As luck would have it my son mucks around with RC cars and I now have a silicone oil source. Not sure if mine has one or two mainsprings .Will know upon taking it apart I guess. With the velocity I'm getting it likely just needs a lube and seal treatment and chrony again.Harold
