My friends in Arkansas invited me to come down this November for some white tail hunting on their 1500 acres.
I have looked on some websites about transporting firearms across to the US and back, but since the LGR is gone, are there any changes?
I would be taking my winchester 30-30, a 12 gauge shotgun and a .22 just for shooting some cans.
So, besides getting tags, what obstacles will I face getting these 3 guns across the border and back again. I would be driving, if that changes anything.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

of course you need permit. talk to ATF in us.
you can search on line for application to be able to carry firearms across border.

what part of Arkansas are you headed to...I spent a couple of years there fighting game cocks... it's the world capitol for ticks...

I just went through that process, it's pretty easy. I got mine so I could swing across Minnesota, Michigan with my camper (I always carry a 12ga defender in my camper, so I needed a valid firearms permit for it).

First thing, you've got to have a US hunting license (I purchased an Alaska small game license online, to meet the permit requirements).
If you're going to Arkansas on a hunt, then you should just buy that license of course.

The form you need is in this list. It's the one for the temporary importation of firearms.
