Hey guys - here are 23 reasons to think about hunting with a vz 58. I am practicing for the challenge in the Hunting arms forum but haven't done a lot of the shooting positions in the throw down. So I made it out today and here are my best results out of 4 targets. In between I thumped a conveniently located round of fir just beyond the target line.
Off the bench - 9/10

Then on too some standing and kneeling - 5 each position. My discard target was this combo as my kneeling was really terrible and standing not much better. Anyways, in between some round mulching, I did this. 8/10

I notice that I have a tendency to twist the rifle (all LGs actually) to the right which I think accounts for the right side preference on the targets. As I went on I started concentrating on the list and my body position, readiness etc and did this as my best of the day.
6/10 standing

Sorry for the chitty photo quality. Czech surplus, open sights. Have not touched the sights with the tapco wrench as I am pretty sure its me canting the carbine that is moving the groups rights. Love shooting it.
