Well,Goose25: You sleep with the turds... thats a picture of an outhouse! I'll stick to sleeping at the Holiday Inn.

Actually Griffoneur that first pic was meant to be a joke, It's a picture of an abandoned shack in my next of the woods.

Here's a pic of my cottage that sits on my privately owned property (115 acres). Its a great location, while only being 1hour from home (laval), you'll find me there hunting blackies in spring and deer during rifle season in fall. For bow season I stay at a motel in Danville QC that just happends to be attached to a strip club.;)

Goose25:
Now that is what I call "camping sauvage"... yes sir, I could pass up the Holiday Inn for the cottage! I luv your back yard!
When I look at my kids doing the camping thing, I think back to way back when I used to go camping in January and slept in a lean-to. Don't do that stuff no more.

Home, any WMU I hunt is for small game only (this year, didn't bother with a tag for moose or deer). Why do some of you guys camp so far away from your homes? :p

Nice! I'll be trying out my wall tent first the first time this year.:dancingbanana:

We replaced the 5-piece center pole with a 2 piece pole made of steel conduit and a coupler. Much sturdier and easier to set-up, and you can skip the center brace post. Also scrapped the plastic tent pegs and used 12" eye-bolts (power-line bolts). Very quick and handy to attach the tie-down straps with. No ropes involved...

This tent is 12'x16'...

Hey Blargon, thanks for the additional pictures. I've got the exact same Canadian Tire stove as well. How do you like it? How did you brace your chimney outside?

Stove works good, but so does a good sleeping bag.:) A friend of mine has the same tent, uses propane heater. I think 2 tanks does him the week...

We used an 8' steel T-post from the farm supply to brace the pipe. Stood on the ATV rack and pound it into the ground with the axe head. Couple wraps of fence wire around it and you're good.
