Hey guys!

So I'm soon to be posted up to saguenay, and I am curious about how good or not the hunting is around that area?

The deer season is not open for rifle at all in region 28, and only for 3 days with a muzzleloader/crossbow.

Makes me think the deer hunting isn't so great?

Moose and bear seasons aren't bad, and in my cursory research I saw saguenay is know for moose and bear.

How about grouse?

Thanks for any and all info you can give

I don't have experience in Saguenay specifically, but at that latitude you are definitely more into moose and bear than deer. If you do see a deer, it will be of the larger variety.

It should be stupid with grouse, both ruffed and spruce. And you'll probably need to step on them to get them to flush. Woodcock should also be pretty good.

Moose and bear should be great that said might be hard to find good spots not “taken” all ready. People in Quebec at really territorial about there hunting spots even on crown land, so tread carefully!
Grouse should be plenty full!
Good luck
