Our camp has an average of 10 hunters, but I have seen a few years where we had 15+. We had to bring in a few campers to hold the extra guys. Our camp is set up with 6 bunkbeds.
Our group consists 12 full time members and various guests... one of the full timers operates a resort so accomodations are not a problem 8)
I usually have a couple of the more civilized members stay at my house
We have an group of people that have syndicated their hunting properties for the group (over 800 acres for deer). Full members are land owners others are plebes
We are organized, we pay dues, buy insurance, and have work parties... the hazing rituals are brutal :?
Our camp is 25' x 50' we now have beds for 16. We normally run 10 each week with about 6 as a carry over into second week. A few bunks are used for cloths & equipment storage. But now we have an extra couple younguns coming in, so we may be up to a dozen second week. Its very comfortable with a shuffle board, a dinning table that's an ex board room table about 16' and an ex restarant 6 burner, 2 oven, with 32" grill propane stove .
Our camp consists of 7 members, although not everyone shows up at the same time. We all pitched-in and built it two years ago, most materials were either 2nd rate (crooked lumber, mismatced shingles, discoloured siding etc.) or scrounged/recycled (funky couches, barnboard interior).
The camp was built on the concrete pad footprint of an old barn. We salvaged all the barnboard to use as our rustic interior walls, it also saved us some cash..
The camp construction is ongoing, still need to finish the interior, as well as re-design the 80-degree sloped loft stairs...
That's an awesome job Yorqi, that would be a Hilton compared to how I hunt!
To answer the question though, 2 or 3 max, never been involved in big group hunts. Not opposed, just never really happens, I hunt solo alot or with a g/f or a partner.
I have 3 sections of modular tent, heat with a stove made from a 60 gal. hot water tank.WE have anywhere from 4 to 12. They come & go all the time. . Just as long as they bring there tags,we keep hunting.Party hunting keeps us going for the 2 weeks. DAN>>>
We have 6 full time and 2 or 3 hit and missers. We have 3 different camps that we hunt out of, but mostly use the one with the indoor shower/toilet, micro-wave, satellite dish, pizza delivery to the door one.
