Unless your health is failing, I believe you should live until you die. When my Dad passed away he had a beautiful field bred Golden that was his absolute baby. Dad was a retired and lived alone so these two were basically together 24/7. That dog moved on to a new home at 7 years young as if nothing happened.It won't be easy not having a dog but I'm 66 now and would not want to leave a dog behind if I passed.

Thank you. Miss that dog just about every day. For several years there my wife kept working while me and Duke were retired and it was just me and him holding down the fort here every day.Welll awll be ah munkees uncle.

My chappeuas have it pretty rough normally. I don't think it would hold up long. It came in a frame along with a couple hand painted birds to keep the old dog on his toes.Stunningly wild.
Just need a proper chappeua and tucker in the band.
