Hunting DUC Projects?

Hey folks,

My Dad and I are planning a trip to Manitoba this fall to go duck hunting and it seems like the Minnedosa, MB area has a lot of potential. I've been doing some research and from what I can see (http://maps.ducks.ca/ducknavigator/) there's quite a few DU projects in that area that are open to hunting. I see they're all foot access only which isn't a problem.

We're not expecting to go to Manitoba "blind" for a week or so and to shoot limits every day, but are we on the right track thinking that with the variety of public projects and if we scout a bit we'd be able to find some birds? I'm not trying to cyber scout people's secret spots, I just don't want to drive out there and find out that I'm missing a key factor in hunting a DU Project and we have no where to go. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Cory

I wouldn't just stay with D. U.C project land
don't be shy knock on doors and get land owners permission, as the farm land holds better hunting then most ducks unlimited land, in the fall
as there is more food sources, and pot holes and ponds , the Minnedosa area north and west are awesome areas for waterfowl, as well as east and south
the private property with permission has an awful lot to offer in ways of waterfowl and bird hunting
