Hunting during the Holidays?

did I hear a motion for a boxing day hunt at BigRed's? Okay, I second the motion...

Last night I dropped by my wolf-outfitting buddy's place. He has a client in for the week from Italy. Imagine this, rich couple (guy's from Italy, she's torontonian) He agrees to come to canada for christmas almost every year under the following agreement: They arrive in T.O the day before christmas, visit everyone they have to see, eat turkey, and he gets on a plane (to go hunt whatever he wants, wherever it's open) He returns to T.O. on Dec 31, for the night... Big party. Next morning he gets on another plane to go on another hunt (for whatever he wants, wherever it's open) The guides and I were talking in the "dry-room" and the hunter hands me his rifle: a Sauer .270 with a Zeiss (can't pronounce the name) 3-9 scope (you should have seen the trigger on this thing - you get what you pay for) the wood was "low-grade" but the stalk was phenominal. Anyway people like me can only dream...

See y'all next year (at Red's :D ;)  :D )

I went out this morning for my Traditional Birthday Hunt...Big Tony, Lucas and myself. We ran two beagles an Irish Wolfhound and a Jack Russel Terrier... Had some really good chases and I shot a Jack Rabbit, a Cottontail and a Grouse. It is a great birthday.... now for the food and drinks....;)
