Hear they had some snow up there, like 3+ feet?! I plan to hunt WMU#355 Nov.12-21, wondering if I should pack a shovel to find the game. Anyone have first-hand knowledge of the situation there?

There is lots of snow there, Highways are all messed up. I am in Edson and we have about a foot here. Hunting is great though, and should be the same in Grand Cache. Was out in WMU 348 today and saw a whole bunch of huge does. Missed a chance on decent buck cause my rifle was still in its case in the back seat. Haven't seen any legal bull Elk yet.

Grande Cache

Thanks for info guys. My buddy I'll be hunting with on Nov.12 hunted the are in late Sept. and saw tons of game, but with this amount of snow I'm wondering about where to hunt and set up camp. With that much snow on the ground I'd think the animals will be using the roads to travel which isnt exactly how I wish to hunt.

I heading back to Grande Prairie and have heard that they have lots of snow...

Wondering if I should bother taking my quad. hopefully its stays cold or the roads could be a real mess.

I guess I'll have to wing it.

And its snowing and blowing right now.I saw pictures of deer at Elmworth which is about 50 South west of GP.The deer were walking in the fields all you could see was there backs (21 inches of snow).Which area are you headed to

i have a mulie doe draw for 357 so south west area... (crown land)
If I fill that then I'll head south and look for a mulie buck...

this is a meat trip for me and My GF.. need 3 more deer for the winter.. so what ever moves goes down:)

Grande Cache

Apparently we'll be camped and hunting somewhere between Kakwa river and Cutbank. Recent reports from other friends are promising, all tagged out and seeing lots of game. We are bringing a snow mobile as well as ATV.

Got a nice 5X5 with split brow tines second day. Buddy got a cow Elk next day. Limited to "road hunting" most of the time due to depth of snow. Hope they dont get much more or the animals will be in trouble. I'd post pics but I'm not that smart!
