Hunting Hall of Fame?

I hear what you are saying Adrian... and having hunted south of the border and with many Americans I know you are 100% correct. I brought up this topic for the exact same reasons... hunters get no recognition in Canada.

How about the Canadian Hunting Museum, Hall of Fame and Hunter Information Center.

That is what I was abotu to suggest-

I'd much rather see a museum that chronicles the conservation efforts of sport hunters in north america, but also has a "Hall of Fame" component, and is heavy into *True* hunting information, as opposed to PETA type info.

This would serve to inform the general public abotu the benefits of hunting, as well as showcasing those who have made big accomplishments whether it is in animals killed or conservation efforts, but more importanty, showcase the real heros. the animals themselves. The animals grow the horns and do the hard part IMHO.

A place that ony really caters to well heeled hunters that go on guided hunts and slap each other on the back has no interest to me, though. And alot of the time organiations like these end up as a Brotherhood of Back Slappers.:p

I don't know who CHuck Adams is, BTW. Is he a member of CGN? Gun writer? The name souns familiar, but don't know him....

Chuck Adams I know of is a bow hunter:D

Yea Chuck Adams is a bow hunter exclusively and has taken every eligible species of N.A. big game with the bow, and I think a Record Book head in every eligible species.

The man is the most dedicated, hardest working hunter there is. He is utterly committed to getting great heads or none at all.

I read a story where Adams was hunting big horn rams in Alberta. It was a guided hunt but Adams and the guide spent some ridiculous number of days... something around 25 or 30 straight days hunting morning 'til night in the Alberta Rockies in November up to 7,000' elevation in bitter cold and no matter what happened Adams would not give up. I remember the guide was just in awe of Chuck Adams relentless pursuit and of course he eventually got a Boone & Crockett (and of course Pope & Young) qualifying ram.

Like I said he has 2 Elk over 400"!!

Both shot on public land in Montana... self guided hunts...

Oh yea, and he looks like a bloody bank teller!!

Would I be in your Hall of Fame, I cannot make a living by hunting because I had to work and only could hunt on my days off and I am not as successfull with a bow as ADAMS because I do not have a sponsor, cannot afford to hunt all over the world promoting products that pay for me to hunt or as an expence write off to promote my hunting product with experience guides that know and can show me where record animals are, pay people for information that helps me locate these record animals or hunt on these private farms where only the rich can afford to hunt and keep going back until I kill the right animal.
But I did shot a Canada moose with a bow that placed in the top 20 And I would of shot many more Pope and Young animals if they would of walked by where and when could I hunt.
