What do we know about hunting in the greater toronto area? WMU 78E. I live by the zoo and rouge valley where I often see deer and coyote. I know that there is actually a WMU for GTA... I assume that there is an open season on deer if I recall correctly. I am sure you would have to hunt with a bow.
My main thing is, can I hunt in the public forests? They would be in theory crown land, owned by the tax payer such as I. I see deer all the time in the forests as I hike, I see them crossing roads into the bush, and generaly killing me by their ability to go un-hunted!
I've seen a large possibly ten point monster buck this past few months in a hydro corridor that runs through the forest.
In the 2008 regs, it is not listed as a provincial park,or a game preserve.
The unit '78' is listed as a valid antlerless deer draw WMU for bow only season
WMU 78E IS listed as open oct-jan for bow only.
So what problems would I run into other then tree huggers, are there any laws that prevent us from having a cross bow in the forest in the GTA?
