If someone from outside Canada would like to come to hunt in Quebec while visiting his relatives there,,,,, what are the formalities that he'd have to go thru? Papers and restrictions? Firearms? Can he borrow a firearm here, or he can bring one over?

He wants to come in about 3 months, what CAN ve hunted then? Does he need a guide... etc.... He's very excited and I lack the info, so any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Quebec Hunting

My friend came from Vermont last year to hunt in Quebec with me, you have to get permisssion from CFC for him to borrow a gun as you the sponsor, there is a form you can download and fill out, http://www.cfc-ccaf.gc.ca/. you need info from your friend,or he can apply for permit to bring his own gun. It takes time so start early
For license to hunt, just pay for non resident lic Deer is about $225.00

As a non resident he can hunt under non resident license for whatever is open at the time.
From what I remember he can borrow a rifle as long as he is within arms reach of the one that owns it.;)

That's how I started my hunting adventures, and got hooked.
I am a Quebec non-res hunter, but man it sure costs a lot to hunt as a non-res.
