Hunting is open again (Newbie in Montréal)

Anybody going hunting soon near Montréal? (Newbie)

Hunting is now open again in Québec (Partridge, Guineafowl, Quail and Pheasant). So this is my very first hunting season and I’ve been looking for this for a long time. I’ve been breaking clay a few clay pigeons and I’m eager to get to real hunting.

Anyone going out yet? … and possibly willing to take me along? I’m a good listener, past the age of arrogance and surely willing to learn.

I’m on the island but can reasonably drive most of the time…

The game birds they list as huntable as of August 1st are not found in the wild here. The real small game season starts around September 18th. You can shoot pigeons all year long and starlings, crows, and cow birds From July 1 to April 30.

We used to keep 20-25 Guinea Fowl (free-range)...great watchdogs. They rise/fly like pheasants.

there is no Pheasant or quail 300km around montreal. forget it before september.. there is tons of rabbit and perdrix. In case you want to duck hunt around montreal, you better get a good lawyer first A lot of people get arrested each year for hunting duck within city water (not clearly defined but around 200m from shore, even then, some people got arrested
).

Ok now it's september and most of the small game are fair game if I'm not wrong, so anyone willing to have a trainee?
