Hunting Ixtapa, Mexico in Feb/Mar?

Suther, I didnt do any fishing from shore, but if I were to go back I'd buy a telescoping rod and bring some tackle for sure...

I spend a lot of time in southern cuba. Hunting once popular is pretty much banned and if you do find a guide expect to have a government official with you and he will have 2 others in tow.

Get to know the locals, they do have guns in cuba. They might take hours up into the hills to do some Bush hunting. If your caught it 2-10 years in a cuban prison.

So then hunting is out in Cuba! Going to jail in a foreign country is pretty low on my to do list!

What about Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo? The vote is down to that and Cuba now, with Ixtapa currently in the lead. The boss is now figuring out resort options for those two locations and we'll have another vote in a few days to make a final decision on location/resort.

**Ixtapa won the vote! Looks like thats where I am going. Anyone have any experience hunting in this area???**

Paraguay?

Uruguay would be my choice for a south American hunting vacation though mexico has some awesome deer hunting I hear.
We are looking at Uruguay for retirement as they are a some what firearm friendly nation.
