hunting locations

I just got my hunting license this last weekend and I wanted to start off doing some small game hunting, rabbits and game birds. My only problem is I dont know where to go hunting for these animals haha. I'm not asking for your hunting area...(thats like asking for your secret fishing hole.) What I really want to know are there any tools or maps that can help me find some Crown land that I can scope out? I don't mind doing some work to find my own spot.
On a side note if you have any good resoures on actual hunting strategy/methods for rabbits and game birds let me know. The hunting course was good but its about safety really not being successful.

I am lucky enough to have good neighbors who let me use their land, but I would start by visiting local farms and seeing if they are interested in either allowing you to hunt/ control pest animals on their land. They may ask you to pay for access to it or may say no, but you will never get a yes if you don't ask.
