Hunting near Big Chute

Anyone walk the forest around big chute road in Coldwater? I am looking for a place to take my son to show him hunting and thought this area might be a good bird area...

Thoughts? Comments? Other suggestions?

Not familiar with that area, just make sure you both have orange vests or hats on. Also I would stay away from there for the next week while the gun deer season is open.
If I were you I would find some nice private bush and go ask the owner for permission, with your son in tow. This will also teach him to not trespass and always ask for permission, while at the same time increasing your chances of gaining permission by having a kid with you. Private land will be less hunted, ie more chance of finding birds, and much safer for both of you, less chance of finding other hunters.

Copeland Forest which is a few miles to the south is a good bet. I beleive that hunting is only allowed in certain portions of it however, so you would be best to check on that.
