Hunting oppurtunies on the East Coast

OK I am waiting for the guy who cut meat for twenty years to make a meaningful reply about deer size.............;) He just might have an idea about deer body size.......

Doug
All I have to say is wait till next fall and see the deer they post here on CGN from Sask and Alta compared to the ones shot here in the Maritimes. There are big deer here, but the ones out west are bigger and quite a few more in numbers. Seems to me that the world record deer was shot in Sask.

Also, the mule deer I saw in Grande Prairie and Peace River were huge.

Of the 28 or so recognised sub-species of Whitetails, the northeastern variety(Odocoileus viginianus borealis) are accepted as being the largest. The Dakota subspecies found iN AB and SK(dokotensis) are a close 2nd.
