I can't seem to get a straight answer so can someone school me really quick.

I want to hunt gopher/crow/coyote on my uncles farm. He's in alberta and I'm a sask resident. Can someone please give me the hunting regulations. I've seen some places you need a liscence and a guide to. Hunt... Other just a liscence and a place to shoot.

Can someone enlighten me please.

If you're on your uncles farm shooting coyotes and gophers, there's zero chance a C.O. is gonna check you out. Which has nothing to do with legalities, but I just don't think it matters.

I figured so.... But his property is against the main highway. I would be visible hunting gophers from the highway. (I would not however be aiming at said highway.

Hunting regs are always a good place to look....

NON-RESIDENT (CANADIAN) LICENCE AVAILABILITY

All Non-resident hunters of big game, wolf or coyote require a Big Game Designated Guide or a Hunter Host. Scroll up to view Outfitting and Guiding Requirements.

Non-residents who hunt with a Hunter Host may obtain White-tailed Deer, Antlered Mule Deer, Antlered Moose, Antlered Elk, Black Bear, Supplemental Black Bear, Cougar, and Wolf/Coyote Licences (see table below) from private licence issuers or online at albertarelm.ca. Some special licences may be obtained through the draw system that are described in the 2012 Alberta Hunting Draws booklet which was made available in June 2012.

Non-residents contracting a hunt with a Big Game Outfitter-guide may obtain Special Licences by using an allocation, available from their outfitter-guide. Wolf/Coyote licences can be purchased without an allocation. Non-residents using the services of an outfitter-guide must be guided by a Big Game Designated Guide. These licences are only available at licence issuers.

Being on Private property does not exempt a person from Alberta Hunting Regs. Tell your uncle to call the Fish & Game cops and ask them how it works.

If you are an Alberta resident you don't need a license for Coyotes on private property you have right of access to all year long. On crown land, you would also have a certain season as listed in the regs. However a non resident cannot hunt them without a guide just like the regs say.

As for gophers I'm not entirely sure. Wouldn't that be considered as small game?

Like Sheep hunter pointed out a non res Canuk needs permit.

Here is another area from the regulations showing that a resident can shoot coyotes at all times of the year on privately owned land but a non-res cannot.

A Non-resident or Non-resident Alien who holds a Non-resident/Non-resident Alien Wolf/Coyote Licence may hunt (but not trap) timber wolf from the opening of any big game season in a particular WMU to May 31, 2013, or until June 15, 2013 in WMUs where black bear seasons are open until June 15, 2013.

Coyote
A Resident may, without a licence and on land to which he or she has the right of access, hunt (but not trap) coyote at all times of the year throughout the province, except as follows:
1) on public lands in the Green Area, only from October 1, 2012 to February 28, 2013, and
2) in Camp Wainwright (WMUs 728 and 730), only from January 2, 2013 to February 28, 2013.

I hope I will not be accused of trolling for disagreeing with more that one other poster????

I was quoting what you just posted, just my sentence structure was a bit confusing. Fixed. I am trying to say that as a non-resident you can't just hunt in Alberta even if you are on private property. I would look into the gopher thing. Pretty sure the regs say Crows are unprotected. Ravens however must be hunted on Private land by residents. Know the difference!
