Between me and my father we have 5 elite 3200 scopes on our hunting rifles. I find them more than adequate. But I have seen that the Nikon Buckmaster and Burris Fullfield II are close in the price range are they worth checking out? It's gonna be hunted so fogproof waterproof and reliability are key. Thanks.

My fullfield II definitely has better glass than the 3200 Bushnell. In all fairness though I've only looked through the Elite scopes outside a store.

95% light transmission on the Burris. I've heard the Nikon is also very good for brightness.

Considering you can get a FFII 3-9x 40mm with Ballistic plex for $200 brand new, you can't really lose (PM me if you chose this scope. I'll tell you which store).

I haven't looked through the Nikon yet, although there have been a lot of very positive reviews.

You'll want to go check the three out at a shop first and then decide.

Any of these three will work. If I were to go for a middle priced scope I'd consider the Zeiss Conquest. If you were planning on going for the next level scope I'd consider doing it fairly soon. With the Canadian dollar taking a dive, it wouldn't surprise me to see the prices start climbing again. Get the old stock before the new stuff is repriced.

Let us know what you chose.

Riden uses Burris on his guns and loves it.

I shoot a Leupold Varix - 1 and love it. It is in the same price range as a 3200

Scopes onm e-bay are many times $100 CHEAPER

I put a Nikon 2-7x32 on my rifled shotgun. Can't wait to zero it in, looking good right now, and really good warranty. i have a 3200 Elite on my .223. Very good light transmission (easily got a skunk with a half moon shining).
