We have many possible locations to hunt, so most of us use the traditional hot a$$ type seat, or the newer foam pads, to park our buts on a log, rock or stump. I've tried some of the folding chair types, but they are bulky, and noisy. They sometimes clank when walking in with them, and most make some kind of noise when you stand up.
The type with the arm rests are fine for noise, but very bulky, and they limit your ability to see or shoot behind you.

What do you use?

Mornin JC, I use a square foam type hot seat but this year when I got it wet I routed out a non-legal square boat seat cushion outta the gen shed & found it very warm & comfy, soo comfy I used it the rest of the season! I also have a folding chair that works well when you don't have far to go to your watch.

Wholesale Sports sells a one inch thick self-inflating air filled seat, sort of like the self-inflating air filled matresses for back country camping. It's camo on the top, black on the bottom and comes with a strap to strap it around your ass. Basically walk up to the spot you want and sit down, since the seat is already attached to you there is no adjusting. I just pick a nice tree and sit at the base with my back against it.

$14.99 for the seat.

I use a pack with folding stool attached...tape up the clips so they don't clink and its good to go.

i use the seat the good lords gave me self heating well padded and dosnt make noise (unless i had chilli the night before) goes anywhere and works in every situation

I've got one of those round pads with the velcro strap that attaches to your belt and hangs behind your rear.

Most times I forget it and just sit on the ground though...
