Hunting with PPU 303 ammo?

I got 5 boxes of PPU 180gr SP ammo for the .303 on a decent sale not long ago, me being me i cant let ammo sit still very long without atleast "trying it".

So today i set up a Box at 40meters an shot my 180gr Hot Cor handload and then a PPU Factory just to see if we are Close with the Apoxie clay rear V sight

I am a big fan of the Hot Cor RN 180gr offering im loading, but seeing as I got the PPU for a bit less than I can reload for, They will be up next, down the track.

I was hoping not to have to "adjust" my Apoxie Clay V sight and i think for all intent and purpose, I wont have too.

The Ruger #1 is open sighted and a close range, bush or ambush gun- slow stalking bush.

The Quetion i come here with, is, Whos shot game with the 180gr SP offering from PPU in recent times?

I've used the PPU Rifle Line ammunition in 270 WIN. and it shot like a dream, a very minor elevation change at 100 meters was needed to hit center bull, but would have been fine for hunting without the change.

I got Doe with my No1 mk3 in 2022? PPU .303 180gr SP, the deer dropped where it was hit.

I haven’t shot any animals with .303 ppu but I will say the ppu 174gr fmj’s shoot to the same poa/poi as the Fed blue box 180gr sp I hunt with, which use a Speer hot core. Good accuracy out of both in my one no.4 sporter.
